Obituary

Justin Randle Workman, 37, of Charleston, WV, went to heaven on January 11, 2026, while being cared for at CAMC following a short illness.

Born in Charleston on October 18, 1988, he is the son of John Workman III and Deborah (Hughart) Workman. A graduate of Sissonville High School, Justin earned an associate degree with honors in computers from West Virginia Junior College. He was a 15-year employee of Piggly Wiggly, beginning as the office manager before becoming the store manager.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lowell and Lilly Hughart, and his paternal grandparents, John and Mildred Workman.

Justin is survived by his mother, Deborah Workman of Sissonville, WV, and special friends, Patricia Tyler, Joyce West, and Josh Goff, all of Sissonville, and many other good friends to numerous to mention.

Justin was an avid gamer and he had built his first computer.

Special thanks to the Sissonville Fire Department and Paramedics for their tireless efforts in caring for Justin and to the Shelton Family in Myrtle Beach, SC.

    My deepest sympathy for his Mother and family. Worked with Justin for 15 years. Always talked about his Mother and cared about her. I’m sure he was a loving son.

Justin was an incredibly wonderful young man and will always hold a special place in our hearts!It was a pleasure watching him grow from a very young child playing at the water park into a nice, sweet, considerate, giving, polite high school grad going to computer college. After college working to achieve many goals as a helpful, caring, respected, amazing & loved store manager. The greatest gift was having you as a friend & knowing you were part of our family!
