Obituary
Karen Angell Parker, 77, of St. Albans, WV, passed away January 29, 2025, after a short illness. She is to be cremated with no services, per her wishes.
Karen was born November 8, 1947, in Charleston, WV, and grew up in Nitro, WV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Goldie Angell of Nitro; sisters, Sonia Angell Simmons, Edra Selbe, Virginia Cook, and Janet Wakala-Angell, and a brother, Durward Angell.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Daniel A. Parker of St. Albans; daughters, April S. Angell-McAteer of Huntington, WV, and Trisha D. Simpson of West Jefferson, OH; step-daughters, Larisa A. Leon (Dan) of Paoli, PA, and Daryl L. Parker (Craig) of Charlotte, NC.
Karen was a member of The Christ Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ward I, South Charleston, WV.
Karen was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother to nine and great-grandmother to seven. She will be greatly missed.

Grandmas Karen, as she’s always been to me always took my shopping with her. My grandpa would come pick me up every other Saturday and if I stayed the night she’d always have dinner made for all of us. She absolutely will be missed, especially by her husband, I don’t ever remember them being separated many times at all. We love you.

So many memories!!!!! my Aunt Karen was already tinder spoken to us. She brought such energy to the room…….I know she’s in a better place but I regret not taking more time to spend with her……..life is so short!!! Seek love and forgiveness and enjoy life 🙂
