Obituary

Karen Janeen (Hunt) Lanham, 69, of Charleston, passed away on September 17th, 2025, at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

Karen was preceded in death by parents Doris Wilbin Silverman and James Hunt; and brothers Gary Hunt and Michael Hunt.

Karen is survived by daughters Amy Hogan and Heather Monk; brother Jimmy Hunt; granddaughters Sierra Hogan and Raeann Lanham; grandson Steven Lanham, and great-grandchildren Destiny, Karma and Chance.

Karen often enjoyed reading books of mystery, finding new and exciting movies to watch. She loved spending her spare time drawing and was brilliant at it. She also cherished spending time with her loved ones. She was a woman of understanding, compassion, and empathy. She will always be remembered for her kindest heart as she loved unconditionally. She touched many lives and will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life for Karen will be held at a later date.
