Obituary
Karl Alexander Bosserman, Jr., “Alex,” was born January 21, 1941, and departed this life on March 25, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Kibler and Karl A. Bosserman, Sr., and his sister, Mary Ellen Farris.
Alex graduated from Presbyterian College, Clinton, SC, and served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant. He attended University of South Carolina School of Law and was a practicing defense attorney in South Carolina for twenty-six years.
Upon his retirement as a lawyer, he was employed over fifteen years as a maintenance supervisor for Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville, VA. Prior to his death, he was being cared for in a Veterans Administration Medical Foster Home in Boone County, WV. Special thanks go to his caregiver, Marilyn Williams, and her family.
Alex is survived by a sister, Patricia Ann Maine of Charleston, WV, and a brother, Sylvester Bosserman of Junction City, KS. Alex was the father of four children: Elizabeth “Chase” Pennell (Dan), Margaret “Paige” Brown (Buck), Karl A “Trey” Bosserman, III (Christy), and Jason Bosserman, all of whom live in South Carolina. His grandchildren are Lucas Pennell, Samantha Brown, Ella and Noah Bosserman.
Those special friends who survive him are Gary Hayes, Pete Yearout, and Gary Givens.
A memorial service is planned for September 2026.
