Obituary

Kathryn Ann Beary Curry, 55, of Charleston, WV, passed away August 26, 2023, at Charleston Memorial Hospital.

Kathy was born February 26, 1968, and grew up in the Nitro, Cross Lanes area of West Virginia. She attended Point Harmony Grade School and Nitro High School. She was a loving person and always had a smile on her face. She loved to cook and cooked for her friends and family. She briefly worked for Charleston Newspapers and volunteered for Manna Meal in Charleston. She loved her children and spoke of them often.

She was preceded in death by her dad, John Beary of Tornado, WV, and her beloved sons, Richard Lee Beary of Nitro and her two tiniest angels Anthony and Antonio Curry of Charleston; her grandparents, Otmer and Reba Shamblin of Cross Lanes, and David and Margaret Beary of Charleston; her aunt, Vivian Shamblin Knight of Cross Lanes, and cousin, Julie Eads of Cross Lanes.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Jean Beary of Cross Lanes; her daughters, Erica Beary of Cross Lanes, Alicia of Charleston, Brittney of Huntington, WV, and Brianna of Parkersburg, WV; sons, Justin and Billy Jr. of Charleston; brother, Michael Beary of Tornado, WV; and Billy Curry of Charleston, her special friend and ex-husband who took care of her.

Kathy will be truly missed by her family and many friends. She is with God, and we will see her again.
