Obituary

Keith Marshall Stevens, 78, of Belle, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his residence.

Keith was born December 23, 1946, in Putney, a coal-mining town near Charleston, West Virginia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division and was a Vietnam War veteran. After returning home from Vietnam, Keith married the love of his life, began raising a family, and devoted more than forty years of hard work to the coal industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ballard Stevens and Ernestine (Young) Stevens.

Keith is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Ella Mae (Selbe) Stevens; his chihuahua, Addie Lou; his children, Tamara (James) Gaal of Florida and Keith (Laurie) Stevens II of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Brandon Mays of Charleston, Brielle Mays of Hurricane, and Keith (Haley) Stevens III of Summersville; his great-grandchildren, Layden Mays and Wyler Harrison, both of Hurricane, and his siblings, Chuck (Robbin) Stevens of Summersville, Barbara (Derald) Cardwell of Florida, and Maude (Frank) Bostic of Florida.

Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping others, and spending time with his family and friends. He was the person his family relied upon and depended on for many things, and his absence is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
