Obituary

Larry Dean Kidd of Dunbar, WV, was born January 19, 1954, and died May 23, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald D. Kidd and Grace L. Kidd of Cross Lanes, WV.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy Jo Kidd, and their sons, Jeramy W. Kidd (Valerie) of Beaufort, SC, and Michael D. Kidd (Liticia) of Nitro, WV. He has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Larry graduated from Nitro High School, Ben Franklin and West Virginia State College. He was a member of the Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society and C&O Modelers Club. He was a gospel songwriter and recording artist. He attended Higher Ground Christian Fellowship in St. Albans.

Larry will be cremated. His memorial service will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on June 7, 2026, at New Horizon Worship Center in Cross Lanes with Pastor Jeff Nichols will officiate the service.
