Obituary

Lewis jarrett “jiggs” pauley, sr., 82, of gandeeville, passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his family by his side friday, december 30, 2016 at home.
Lewis was born november 12, 1934 at big chimney to the late charles and lucille jarrett pauley.
He was retired captain from the city of charleston fire department and was a former member of the west virginia air national guard.
Lewis loved visiting with family and friends, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of his animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, lewis j. Pauley, jr. And john matthew pauley; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, sharon l. Murphy pauley; daughter-in-law, martha ann pauley; grandsons, joshua e. Pauley and matthew (merri) pauley; great-grandson, gage owen pauley; great-granddaughters, kassandra rose and mattie lynn pauley; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.M. Monday, january 2, 2017 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston with pastor danny cummings officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
