Obituary
Lindsey Dawn Mann Webb, 46, of Charleston, WV, formerly of Princeton, WV, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, after a seizure-related cardiac event. Lindsey had been diagnosed with epilepsy over 20 years ago.
Lindsey was born in June of 1977, in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up in Princeton. The oldest of four, as a child, she twirled and tapped her way through Princeton Dance Studio, mastering ballet, tap, and jazz, often helping teach the younger classes.
At the age of 11, Lindsey lost her sidekick and partner in crime, her younger brother Jamie. In her teenage years, Lindsey moved to Charleston and graduated from South Charleston High School in 1995.
Lindsey met her future husband, Andy, when she was 16. Lindsey and Andy became parents for the first time a few years after high school with the arrival of their daughter Brooke. The family frequently embarked on road trips to Hilton Head Island, Lindsey’s self-proclaimed “Happy Place,” and to cheer on the West Virginia Mountaineer football team in Morgantown, WV, or at countless bowl games.
Lindsey’s artistic talents led her to a career at Highland Hospital, where she discovered her passion for art therapy. Her creative talents also led her to create amazing cakes for customers, gaining local recognition along the way. In more recent years, she focused on bottle cap artwork. Today her artwork adorns the walls of local Charleston businesses such as The Bear’s Den and Rock City Cake Company, leaving traces of her creative spirit. One of her most prized pieces, a bottle cap portrait of Leonardo DiCaprio, earned her a “Fan Favorite” award at Tamarack in Beckley, WV. Today, it is owned by a gallery in Brooklyn, NY.
In 2019, Lindsey and Andy welcomed their second child, Jamie, into the world. Jamie’s arrival brought both joy and the memory of Lindsey’s late beloved brother. Though Lindsey and Andy later separated, they remained on friendly terms until her death.
Lindsey’s love for her two daughters, Brooke and Jamie, was unmeasurable. She treasured every single moment shared with them, creating a bond that will forever be cherished. Lindsey’s legacy lives on through her daughters, as they carry her love in their hearts. Lindsey also shared a closeness with her parents and sisters. She proudly declared herself the president of the Mann Sisters, humorously stating, “this is a dictatorship, not a democracy!” Together, they embarked on unforgettable sister trips, including a trip to Paris where Lindsey marveled at the works of Leonardo da Vinci and other artists whom she admired. She could often be found visiting her mom in Princeton; her dad in Mooresville, NC; or at a beach on Hilton Head Island with the whole family. Lindsey’s love for all members of her family, especially her daughters, was fierce and unwavering.
Lindsey found joy and laughter at Charleston Blueprint where she put her artistic eye for details to work. It was there she met her boyfriend, Aaron, and her dear friend, Cara. The atmosphere, colleagues, and customers made her workdays bright, and she always had a funny story to share.
Lindsey will always be remembered for her humor, her zest for life, and her generosity. She enjoyed trying new recipes and feeding those around her. With an ability to always make a house into a home, her home was always a gathering spot for the family. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her brother, James (Jamie) Mann; maternal grandparents, Virginia and James Garvin; and paternal grandparents, Nora and Oral Mann.
Lindsey is survived by two daughters, Brooke Webb (Kalik Ross) and Jamie Webb of Charleston; one granddaughter, Demi Ross of Charleston; two sisters, Ashley Mann Nunley (Mike Nunley) of Charleston, and Kara Mann of Raleigh, NC; her parents, Becky Yost (Benny Moore) of Princeton and Melvin Mann (Roberta Ellis) of Mooresville; ex-stepmother, Deidre Morgan of Nashville, TN; ex-husband, Andrew (Andy) Webb of Charleston; boyfriend, Aaron Florence of Charleston; and countless friends and extended family.
Per Lindsey’s wishes, she was an organ donor and was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Retreat, 1 Creative Place, Charleston, WV 25311.

Mel, Becky, Ashley, and Kara – I cannot express the sadness that surrounds me as I think about your loss of your precious Lindsey. My heart and prayers are with you as you get through each day. I have such good memories of the entire Mann ‘clan’ when we all got together for optometry gatherings. I’m hoping that you hold those and SO many other memories close to your hearts as you think of your beloved Lindsey.
