She was born in braxton county on september 12, 1920. Most of her life was spent in charleston. For many years she worked for mr. Maier whose legacy became the maier foundation. She retired from the charleston ambulance authority.

Lita was preceded in death by her husband harold and had many happy stories of their time together in the east end of charleston. She loved the lee street deli, owner, jim fletcher and her many friends there. Jim gave her wonderful birthday parties that included a rose for every year being celebrated. She was looking forward to 94 roses! Lita was still driving a 12 block radius and was very proud of her pontiac known as the “silver bullet”.

Survivors include her niece and husband, claudia and gary covey of gassaway, dearest friend, jim fletcher and many others including dottie pasapia, diane givens, david fleshman, sandi hawkins, rosemary southard and barbara schell.

Mrs. Bangert will be entombed beside her husband at sunset memorial park. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of “the queen”.

I Did Not Know Ms. Bangert But I Know How Hard It Can Be To Lose A Loved One In Death So I Wanted To Say I Am Very Sorry For Your Loss. The Scripture That Has Given Me Comfort At Times Like This Is The One Found At Revelation 21:4 That Says, “And He Will Wipe Out Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Will Be No More, Neither Will Mourning Nor Outcry Nor Pain Be Anymore. The Former Things Have Passed Away.” So God Has Promised That In The Very Near Future We Will Never Have To Experience The Pain Associated With Death Anymore. I Pray That This Gives The Family Some Comfort During This Difficult Time.
