Obituary

Lonnie Parker Sears, age 62, of Charleston, WV passed away on June 9, 2025.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Waneeta Sears, his brother Dennis, his sister Carrie, his brother Benjamin, and two nieces Tisa and Camille.

He leaves behind his oldest sister Kate in Eatonton, Georgia, his younger brother Lindon in Duluth, Georgia, and his nieces and nephews Joshua, Parker, Chelsea, Zoe, Dominique, Phillip, Lindsey, and their families.

Lonnie was a very talented photographer, artist, and musician. He would take a photo of a very tiny portion of something and manipulate it into an amazing geometric designed photograph. He was a dedicated care-giver to his brother, Benjamin, for many years. In his younger years he loved to mountain-bike, and he repaired bicycles in his cousin’s Kanawha City shop. In his recent years he was an avid online-video gamer. He played with and against people from around the world.

The family would especially like to thank Julie Schaul for her faithful care and friendship for our brother Lonnie these last few years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Spring Hill Cemetery, 1555 Farnsworth Drive, Charleston, WV.
