Obituary

Lorice a. Bsharah, 76 of charleston, passed away thursday april 9, 2015 at hubbard hospice house.

Lorice retired after several years working as a cpa with the state of wv human resources office.

She was a member of st. George orthodox cathedral, where she served as a member of the ladies guild and was a lifelong resident of charleston. Lorice was a 1956 graduate of charleston high and attended marshall and graduated from bowling green, ky. She was also a member of the shums il bir, and the red hat society. She was best known for her smile. She loved her children very much and cherished every moment she had with them.

Lorice enjoyed watching wvu and marshall sports with her son, andy. She loved her flowers, and talking on the phone with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing word search puzzles. She had a love for angels and always told her children “go with god”. She knew no stranger everyone she met was like a friend she had known for years.

Her passion was cooking for her family and friend’s. This was one of the reasons she wrote her own cookbook, called “mama rece’s cookbook” she dedicated it to her three children, andy, jackie and tony for always giving her the support she needed to fulfill her dream. Her son, andy dedicated himself as her caregiver, and gave her the love and support she needed for the past several years, she will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her children; andy bsharah of charleston, wv, jacquelyn m. Bsharah of alexandria, va and tony m. (jennifer) bsharah of charleston, wv; sister, lorene smith of fredericksburg, va; brother, john g. Asseff of charleston, wv and one grandchild, ciara hager.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, tuesday, april 14, at st. George orthodox cathedral with the very rev. Father olof scott officiating. Burial will follow in sunset memorial park, south charleston, wv. Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.M.At the cathedral. A trisagion prayer service will take place at 11:30 a.M.
