Obituary

Margaret Ann Miles passed away on April 8, 2023, in Charleston, WV.

She was born on February 19, 1936, in Marmet, WV, to James and Mary (Arrington) Duff of Charleston, WV. Having lived her entire life in Charleston (Kanawha City), WV, she graduated from Charleston High School in 1954. She married her loving husband, Robert Lee Miles, on September 30.1955. Margaret was a retiree of CAMC, after a long career of working as a nurse in the Newborn ICU. She was devoted to her family and friends throughout her life.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Miles, of Charleston, WV; two children: Robert Thomas Miles of Charleston, WV, and Marie Pauline (Polly) Osborne of High Bridge, NJ; four grandchildren: Ashley Miles of Charleston, WV, Patrick Osborne of High Bridge, NJ, Melanie Osborne of Holland Township, NJ, and Benjamin Osborne of Annapolis, MD; four great-grandchildren: Aiden and Carson Miles of Charleston, WV, and Ellison and Cecelia Kuhar of Holland Township, NJ, and her sister, Rhoda Mullins of Charleston, WV. Also left to mourn her passing are cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three siblings: Frances Morton of Manteca, CA, Garred Selbe of Deltona, FL, and Sherman Selbe of Warren, OH.

Margaret’s family are thankful and deeply appreciative to Dr. Grace Falbo, who always went above and beyond in her care of Margaret. Thank you to the nurses and therapists of Mountaineer Home Care. Also, thank you to the staff of 2E and the SICU of CAMC Memorial Division.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April13, 2023, at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, located at 100 Graceland Circle, South Charleston, WV.
