Obituary

Marilyn liljia (melvin) vamos, 82 of elkview, wv passed away at home on april 4, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late allen thayer and mary (lily) melvin.

Marilyn had been a switchboard operator for southern bell, banking customer service representative and hospice volunteer. After retiring she stayed socially active by attending dances and dinners with her close friends.

She is survived by her sister, carol chiafulio; two daughters, hope seely and brenda dudley.Also surviving are her grandchildren, nina skell, kyle and logan dudley; great-grandchildren, hannah and ethan stricker, wyatt and kyle dudley, jr.

Marilyn was a beloved aunt to kathleen buchan and michael chiafulio; great aunt to kathleen’s children, morgan, cassidy and jesse. She is also survived by her toy fox terrier, lil’ anne.

Marilyn counted her blessings, praying before every meal.   “then shall the dost return to the earth as it was and the spirit shall return unto god who gave it”. Ecc.12:7

a memorial luncheon in her honor is being planned at a later date.
