Obituary
Mark T. Malloy, age 72, born October 8, 1952, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Laura Glass Malloy.
He was the father of son Matthew T. Malloy of Virginia and loving daughter Meghan M. Malloy of Pittsburgh, PA, and Grandfather of Addison Malloy. He took great pride and joy in stepson (RET) SSG Andrzej Andy and wife Jeanna Goldman, and he loved stepdaughter Nicole Goldman. He adored his step-grandchildren, Isabella Goldman and Conner Mullins. Additionally, Mark is survived by his brothers, John and wife Suzanne Malloy and James Malloy and wife Ivana. He was an uncle to Connor Malloy. He was the son of John and Alice Malloy. He is survived by numerous extended family and a long list of loving friends.
Mark was a caring loving husband who dedicated himself to his then ailing wife of 10 years, providing her with all of the support he could; helping her return to health. During that time, he assisted her in the construction of the Medal of Honor wall and displays for the 58th Special Operations Wing, located at Kirkland Air Force Base, NM. He was a ray of sunshine for his wife especially, but for everyone that talked to him even if it was only once he made them smile
Mark’s career took him all over the country to new places. However, when he traveled, he always took two things with him – his love for his family and The Pittsburgh Steelers. Mark was the type of guy who could walk into any local bar, sit down with a total stranger and strike up a conversation over a few beers while watching the game. Mark was infatuated with music and was always ready to turn it “up to 11” He was a kind and gentle soul, a gentle giant and a self- proclaimed comedian at heart, Mark was lighthearted, and fun-loving, always cutting up and cracking a joke. Any place from here to New Mexico that was graced with his presence will miss him greatly and we all will be the poorer for it.
Our love for him will live on in our hearts and memories. We were blessed to have him in our lives. Rest in Peace, Mark.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at a later date in the Spring/Summer when it’s warm and the flowers will be blooming.
Condolences may be sent to his family at www.barlowbonsall.com .
Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

well my love, we knew we would get here. But we both thought you had more time. You will always be the love of my life. You were so kind, so generous, so NOT Pittsburgh, lol I am really going to miss you. Every morning I stop by your bed and wish you a good morning. Finally, you are pain free, my love. Working on your celebration of Life ceremony detail. I think you would like it. Oh, I ache, but I am so glad you went first so you would not have to feel this pain. We will meet again my dear. Until then rest in G-D’s loving arms
