Obituary

Martha ann (kuhns) miller, 55, of charleston, passed away thursday, april 24, 2014. Martha fought a long, courageous battle against breast cancer, beat it twice and she never gave up.
Martha was a graduate of charleston high school, attended wvu and graduated from columbus ohio community college. She was a professional ice skater and during her career she skated with the “holiday on ice” show. She also worked as a paralegal among other jobs throughout her life.
Martha loved any kind of sports, whether it was a croquet match in the back yard or on the professional level. Her favorite teams were the west virginia mountaineers, cleveland browns, cleveland indians, cleveland cavaliers and any team her nephews or grandkids played on. She spent countless days on ball fields cheering for her nephews and grandkids. Last spring, she even coached a little league baseball team with her boyfriend, richard.
She is the daughter of robert e. Kuhns and the late martha l. (thomas) kuhns of charleston. She is survived by her sister, mary (kuhns) stephenson; her husband, mike and their children, sam, caroline and robby of raleigh, n.C.; her brother, dewey kuhns and his wife, amy and their children will and matthew of charleston; her companion and best friend, richard abdalla and his daughters, shana and andrea, along with their children, a.J., a’sias, lilly and arian.
A private graveside service will be held at mountain view cemetery, charleston.
