Obituary

Mary ellen “sister mary ellen” pattaccia, 95, of charleston passed away, sunday, january 7, 2017 at the hubbard hospice house, charleston.  sister mary ellen was a member of the church of jesus christ and an evangelist for all the churches of jesus christ for 45 years.  before becoming an evangelist, she had previously worked in a sanatorium in ohio and also was a caregiver, helping those who were sick.  later, she had a radio show with sister jimmi; they would preach and pray for the listeners and those who called in to the show.  sister mary ellen committed her whole life to helping people. She always made herself available to her communities. She was ordained to the ministry of the gospel of jesus christ in 1998.  she was preceded in death by her sister, mildred; and brothers, james and lewis.  she is survived by her daughter, tobie (bob) cate of kelseyville, ca; son, james “jim” (barbara) osborne of lake geneva, wi; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  memorial service will be 1 p.M. Tuesday, january 10, 2017 at the church of jesus christ, 636 campbell hollow road, charleston, wv , with pastor ed coleman officiating.  in lieu of flowers ““ the family suggests donations may be made in memory of sister mary ellen to: kanawha hospice care, 1606 kanawha blvd w., charleston, wv 25387.
