Obituary
Max Carlton Lemma, 72, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with family by his side.
He was a graduate of Marshall University and received his MBA from West Virginia University. He was a CPA and an Oil and Gas producer alongside his best friend of many years, Pete Pauley.
Max is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail; his daughter, Erica (Reid) Simpson; his brother, Larry (Sharon) Lemma, and his four grandchildren, Carli, Riley, Carter and Quinn.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Mackenzie.
Max loved golfing, camping, fishing, hunting and boating. He took pride in helping his grandchildren catch their first fish. Many wonderful family memories were made with “Pop” behind the wheel of a boat. Though mobility issues plagued him during his last few years, Max still enjoyed joining his ZBT brothers to cheer on the Thundering Herd. He was a good man, lived a full life and was loved by many.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, WV 25311.
