Obituary

Michael Scott ( Boo ) Simmons, 48, of Charleston, WV, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2026, at his residence.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents Joseph and Nannie Shadd of Chapmanville and brother Joey Shadd of Huntington.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Connie Simmons of Charleston; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Shavonne Shadd of Charleston; sister-in-law, Mollie Shadd of Huntington; nephew, Gage Shadd and his children Vada and Kai of South Point, OH, Nalen Shadd of Huntington, and his fur baby and best friend, Buddy.

He loved cooking on the grill, saving antiques, and any and all animals.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service.
