Obituary

Michael James Huffman, 79, of Shrewsbury, WV, passed away April 30, 2024, after a long illness.

Mike was known to everyone for his love of automobiles and his animals. He had worked on and with vehicles from an early age, as well as owned his share of them. He loved fudge and ice cream. He loved to go to yard sales. He also loved and frequented Shoney’s. Everyone who knew Mike knew that he was a hard man to love, but if you were in his circle, you knew the extent of his love and his generous heart.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Huffman; his brother, Mafred Huffman; his life companion, Audrey Tyler; his son, Little Man-Michael Tyler, and special aunt, Mary Deel.

Mike is survived by his two sisters, Linda (Gary) and Sandy (Bob); his two daughters, Cammy Kozak and Shannon Miller; grandchildren: Timothy (Sarah), Jordan (Trevon), Codie (Chance), Aiden, Lilly, Payton, and Brantley; his great-grandchildren, Easton and Allyson; his sister-in-law, Cathy (Michael), and a host of other family and friends. He is loved and deeply missed by his family and friends, especially his special canine companion, Tilly.

The family is very thankful for the love and care shown by all of Mike’s HospiceCare Team at the Hubbard Hospice House.

As per Mike’s wishes, there will be no funeral or services.
