Obituary

Monty Ray Hudson, 61, of Chesapeake, WV, formerly of Winifrede, WV, passed away September 3. 2024, after a long illness.

He is the son of the late Maynard and Peggy Hudson.

Monty is survived by his son, David Hudson of Campbells Creek, WV; daughter, Jessica Hudson of Campbells Creek; brother, Donny Hudson (wife, Edith) of Hernshaw, WV; sisters, Bonny Wood of Belle, WV, and Connie Johnson (husband, Chris) of Cross Lanes, WV; the mother of his children, Rhonda Hudson of Campbells Creek; girlfriend, Candy Garrett, along with many other family members and friends.

Through the years, he was employed with CAMC Memorial, Welding Inc., and Asplundh Tree Company. He was a member of Brothers of the Wheel motorcycle club.

Per his wishes, Monty will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Ken Ellis Memorial Park, 721 Point Lick Terrace, Charleston, WV  25306, located 3 miles up Campbells Creek Drive. Pastor Mike Long will officiate.
