Obituary
Anthony D. “Tony” Guiffre, of Charleston, WV, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division after an extended illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Bessie Guiffre, he was also preceded in death by his sister Antoinette, brother Benjamin, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert and Mary Falbo.
Tony is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou Falbo Guiffre, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Vickie Falbo of Nicholas County, WV, and his Boston Terrier Lucy.
Tony earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Detroit, and a MBA degree from the University of Michigan. Before leaving Detroit he was employed by the Stroh Brewery Company. After moving to Charleston he became owner and president of Mountaineer Distributing Company, a beer distributorship. A Catholic by faith, Tony attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kanawha City. He loved traveling, working in the yard, spending time with his Boston Terriers, and doing crossword puzzles.
Per his wishes, Tony will be cremated and a memorial mass will be held at a later date.
