Obituary

Richard Lee Crist Jr., 33, of Charleston West Virginia, passed away on April 28th, 2021 due to injuries sustained in a car accident the evening before. He was surrounded by family and friends at his time of passing.

Richard was born February 12, 1988, just moments after his twin sister entered this world. Richard was blessed with his daughter Kaydence on his 21st birthday, and loved her very much. He not only shared his birthday with his sister, but also his daughter. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Richard enjoyed being outdoors whenever possible. He loved many outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, and kayaking. Richard also loved spending time with his dad while working on cars.

Richard was an avid dog rescuer. He had many dogs that he called his babies, along with several farm animals. Richard had a big heart and not only cared greatly for his animals, but he would go out of his way to help anyone in need.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Linda G. Tolbert Crist, grandmother, Nina Cypert, grandfathers, Eugene Crist and Troy Tolbert, and several aunts and uncles.

He was survived by his daughter, Kaydence Dorrough, father, Richard Lee Crist Sr., sisters, Denica Bailes, Elaine Lowry, and twin sister Bridget Ramos, significant other, Evelyn Mace, grandmother, Phyllis Tolbert, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard was loved by many. He is and will always be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Rensford Independent Missionary Baptist Church, 1792 Point Lick Drive, Charleston, WV 25306.
