Obituary

Warren Richard White, “Richard”, 73, of Dunbar, West Virginia died on Sunday, April 17^th, 2022. Born in Ft. Manmouth, NJ, he was the son of the late Warren Willard White and Dora Jean Ford White.

Richard was a wonderful human being who spent his life dedicated to education-not only bettering himself by graduating from both West Virginia State University but also the University of California, Los Angeles- but devoting his life to furthering the education of his many beloved students at WVSU, where he worked as a professor of psychology.

Richard loved animals and other people. He was a natural helper who made the world a better place.

The tales of his joyful personality have been heard by many, but those closest to him hold dear the tale of the “local legend” who climbed the water tower at West Virginia State- an act he himself was extremely proud to tell those who were willing to listen.

Left to treasure the impact he made here on earth are his long-time friend and life companion, Sandi Hess; step-sister, Reba Beaver; step-niece, Michelle Henson; along with a host of other family and dear friends.

Richard was loved by all who had the privilege to know him and he loved them in return.
