Obituary

Donna Burns Turner was a loving wife, mother, and the kindest individual you could ever meet. She passed away January 15, 2022, at the age of 62 at her home with her loving husband at her side.

Donna was born to Harlan and Irene Burns in 1960 and grew up in Marmet, graduated with honors from East Bank High School and achieved her nursing degree from WVU Tech. She dedicated herself as a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years at CAMC General.

She loved the outdoors and explored every park WV had to offer with her family. She was an avid WVU fan and would always watch or listen to every game if possible.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Harlan “Gee” Burns; mother, Irene Burns; and father, Harlan Burns.

She is survived by a large and loving family including her husband of 35 years, Joe Turner; her son, Maxx and fiancé April Dittebrand (Bryleigh, Emma, Abel); and her youngest son, Slater Turner and husband Corey Pence; sister, Judy Cook; and niece Michelle Lares (Ryan, Kaitlyn, Anastasia); nephew Michael Cook (Addison), nephew Chris Burns and wife Lacey Burns and their two children Grayson and Gavin.

  2. There are so many wonderful things i could say about Donna..She was a wonderful Friend to my Brother, David Sutphin. I can’t begin to tell you all the wonderful stories Dave, her friend Gail, and Donna shared in their life. I believe they all shared much laughter and incredible love, not only for each other, but for so many people they met.. i haven’t seen Donna for years, but i’ve heard from both David and Gail that she has a heart of gold. Isn’t that what we all strive for.. a heart that knows no evil. A love for all.. and laughter that is never forgotten.. May her memory live on in our hearts.. i will be forever grateful for her kindness to my Brother.. My condolences to anyone that knew her because their hearts will be breaking right now💗
