  1. I just learned about Jo Ann’s death. We met at Berea . We have exchanged Christmas cards for many years.. We were thought to be sisters when we worked at the Boone Tavern. My best to her family. Jean Combs Voltmann

  2. I agree that the picture of Joanne captures her kind and joyful spirit. I have enjoyed her gardens around her house. I enjoyed sharing swimming activities at Windermere pool with her family.
We shared Thanksgiving together and she has a fantastic sweet potato casserole and fruit pizza. I was inspired by her to start a fish tank aquarium that I have to this day.

  3. JoAnn will be greatly missed by the Kanawha County Extension Master Gardeners Association. She was a positive light at our monthly meetings and a significant contributor of plants from her yard for our annual plant sale. Her photo here is just how we remember her — friendly and ready for action.

  4. Becky Thayer says:

Joanne was a nice person and I really enjoyed working for her at Union Carbide and learnt a lot from her. RIP Joanne.

  5. Our deepest sympathy to the family may Joyce Rest In Peace with the blessings of the Lord!
