Obituary

N. Camille Keller was born August 17, 1954, and passed away on March 18, 2025. She was the only child of the late William Henry and Helen Irene (Anglin) Keller.

Camille was a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Charleston with a B.A. degree in English/French. She held a master’s degree plus 63 hours from Marshall University. She was a longtime educator with Kanawha County School and continued substitute teach until her health no longer permitted.

Camille was a member of the Kanawha Valley Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the Charleston Chapter #151 United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Daughters of the American Colonists, the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and Penn’s Grant Chapter of Colonies Dames 17th Century. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.

In her spare time, Camille enjoyed reading, traveling, attending plays and symphonies, gardening and houseplants. She loved shopping for clothing, purses, jewelry and shoes. She loved all things Garfield.

She was preceded in death by two precious fur babies, Chester and Destiny.

Camille is survived by three special cousins, Mrs. Faye Anglin McNeil of San Francisco, CA, Mrs. Sandra Carlson of Folsom, CA, and Dr. Clint Anglin of Troy, NY. Special appreciation for all her help goes to Juanita Jackson.

There will be no visitation or service. Camille will be laid to rest beside of her beloved mother at Cunningham Memorial Park in St Albans, WV.

    I taught with Camille for many years and also knew her as a student at DuPont High School. I found her to be delightful, especially around holidays when she would dress for the occasion. After we retired, I was happy to receive cards from her on holidays and special occasions. We checked on each other’s progress in that horrible journey called cancer. I was so sorrry to learn that she had passed. Rest in peace, Camille. You are missed.

    I am so saddened by Camille’s death. She and I taught together at Capital High School. We became friends and I so enjoyed being together from time to time through lunch dates and chats on the phone. She will be truly missed
