Obituary
Nancy Ellen Tawney, 68, of Cross Lanes, WV, passed Thursday, December 7, 2023, surrounded by her two daughters, Kaci Settle and Susan Settle, along with their partners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jarrett Tawney and Frances Tawney, and by her brother, Freddie Tawney.
Nancy was best known for her fiery personality and witty mouth. She was a proud nurse for over 30 years and made so many wonderful friends along the way. She was a passionate mother, friend, daughter, and sister. She will be dearly missed by all. Her love and sass will never be forgotten.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at a later date, per her family’s wishes.

Your mom was the best! My sister (Jan Gentry) and her were the best ER Nurses. They were wonderful people who cared for everyone. I felt honored to be in the LBB CLUB. I truly miss her. Prayers and hugs

Nancy was one in a million. She was an amazing nurse leader and friend. She was proud of all her nursing achievements, but even more than that, she was proud of her daughters, which she bragged on every chance she could. You were a light to many and will be missed.
