Obituary
Nancy whitlock creasy, 78, of charleston, went to be with her heavenly father on saturday, may 30, 2015.
Nancy was born in roanoke, virginia on october 1, 1936. she graduated from jefferson high school and attended virginia western college. after marrying harvey creasy, she lived in wheeling, wv for ten years where she was an active member and choir director at first baptist church. she moved to charleston, wv in 1978 and was an active member of christ church united methodist. nancy was also a member of the federation of republican women, the doe’s council of elks and the c.Q. Dance club, where she was an officer and board member. nancy worked as a pension administrator for over 25 years and retired from the jackson kelly law firm. she enjoyed music, cooking, traveling and dancing. she was a devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, leslie and margaret whitlock and her brother, harold whitlock.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, harvey creasy; brothers, kenneth (frances) whitlock of martinsville, va and eugene whitlock of haughton, la; daughters, lisa (rodney) legrand of teays valley, sara burgess of charleston, and dana (michael) lewellen of joppa, md; and her cherished 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.M., monday, june 15, 2015, at christ church united methodist in charleston, wv, followed by a reception at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to christ church united methodist, 1221 quarrier street, charleston, wv 25302 and/or hospice care 1606 kanawha boulevard w, charleston, wv 25387-2536.
The family would like to thank the medical staffs of st. Francis hospital, camc and valley center for their kind, loving care of nancy throughout the past few months.

I Did Not Know Mrs. Creasy But I Know How Hard It Can Be To Lose A Loved One In Death So I Wanted To Say I Am Very Sorry For Your Loss. The Scripture That Has Given Me Comfort At Times Like This Is The One Found At Revelation 21:4 That Says, “And He Will Wipe Out Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Will Be No More, Neither Will Mourning Nor Outcry Nor Pain Be Anymore. The Former Things Have Passed Away.” So God Has Promised That In The Very Near Future We Will Never Have To Experience The Pain Associated With Death Anymore. I Pray That This Gives The Family Some Comfort During This Difficult Time.

Have Been Remiss In Not Keeping In Contact With Charleston. Nancy Was A Phenomenal Co-Worker, Great Mother And Wife, And Had A Way That Could Keep A Poodle In Place, Even If Its Leash Wasn’T Fastened Under A Chair Leg. Now That’S Magic, And That Was Nancy.
