Nick was a kind, generous, and soft-spoken young man who cherished his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, especially time spent with his “papa” at their cabin in summersville and summers spent at camp tygart in huttonsville, where he was both a camper for many years and a counselor-in-training for his last 2 years. His great passion was restoring classic cars, especially his beloved olds cutlass, and he was always willing to help friends with their projects. He was also gifted with the ability to fix anything electrical or computer related, often to his family’s chagrin. Nicholas was a graduate of george washington high school and was looking forward to going to ben franklin career center this spring to pursue his electrician’s license. he was baptized and confirmed at the basilica of the co-cathedral of the sacred heart, where he served as an alter server as a youth.
Nicholas is survived by his mother, terri pierce-jackson and bonus dad, keith jackson, and his father, martin andrew klapproth and bonus mom, robin klapproth. He is also survived by brothers adam keith jackson and peyton jackson at home. Additional survivors are maternal grandparents lee and jeanne pierce of south charleston and paternal grandparents, dr. Karl and rosemarie klapproth of charleston, as well as loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
