Obituary

Nina Elizabeth Jacobs, 74, of Dunbar, WV, departed this world on November 27, 2024.

She was born April 16, 1950, to the late William and Hazel Jacobs of Charleston, WV.

Nina leaves behind a son, Brian Pence of St. Albans, and a daughter, Shannon Pence of Dunbar; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Nancy Thomas (Jerry) of South Charleston, WV, and Nena Burdette (Carlos) of Charleston; one brother, William Jacobs (Reba) of Kenna, WV, and her friend, Jean Dougherty of Scott Depot, WV.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jacobs of Handley, WV, and Hazel Cunningham and stepdad Richard Cunningham of Charleston; nephews, Timothy Rife of Charleston, Jesse Thomas of South Charleston, and brother-in-law, Butch Rife of Charleston, whom was like a brother to her.

Nina’s favorite pastime was playing bingo and enjoying her grandkids. She was a good artist and painter.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV. Entombment will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, WV.

Visitation will begin one hour prior at the funeral home.
