Obituary

Orville Blaine Rose, 89, of Charleston, WV, passed away on November 21, 2024. He was the son of Dewey and Eliza Jane (White) Rose.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Osborne Rose; siblings Juanita Rose, Darrel Rose, Sybil Taylor, Helen Shamblin, Hoyt Rose and Jean Newton; infant brother, Erman Paul Rose, and nephews Larry Taylor and David Taylor.

Orville was a retiree of the U.S. Geological Survey. He also served in the U.S Air Force. He loved wildlife and taking care of animals. He also loved Hot Rod cars. Orville was a charter member of the Kanawha Valley Corvette Club.

He is survived by nephews Jerry Taylor, Rick Taylor, Steve Taylor, Greg Newton, Lee Newton and Terry Shamblin, and nieces Kimberly Morgan and Robin Stockham.

There will be no services. His ashes will be interred at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.
