Obituary
Patricia ann holcomb (harris) 87, passed away at camc on august 28, 2017 after a short illness.
Patricia (pat) was born in charleston, to james l. Buck and lillian kennedy harris. She is survived by her loving husband, marshall of nearly 64 years; daughter, jane tezza of charlotte, nc; son, jay holcomb (rachel) of charleston; three wonderful grandsons, austin tezza, marshall holcomb and scott tezza; sisters, doris harris warlick and terry harris weible along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat went to stonewall jackson high school before graduating from sullins college in bristol, va and wvu with a degree in accounting; being one of the few female students in the program at that time. Upon graduation she worked for american airlines and woodrum’s furniture. She enjoyed raising her two children and took an active interest in following the stock market and was an avid investor.
She was a member of the midland garden club and edgewood country club where she enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Pat served as past president of the wv symphony women’s auxiliary and the local alumni chapter of chi omega sorority. She participated in many activities and joys including modeling for local department store fashion shows in her younger years, playing duplicate bridge and spending time with her family on kiawah island.
Funeral service will be 12 noon, thursday, august 31, 2017 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston with dr. William g. Mccoy officiating. burial will follow at mountain view cemetery, charleston.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to first presbyterian church, 16 sullivan way, charleston, wv 25301.
