Obituary

Paul james cantrell, 72, of charleston, passed away on tuesday, august 22, 2016 at his home.
Paul was born on april 17, 1944 to the late pauline and darrel cantrell.
He was a retired e-8, senior master sargent from the west virginia air national guard, where he had served as an aircraft maintenance supervisor for the 130th airlift wing.
Paul served with distinction throughout his career with the 130th airlift wing, including his deployment to southwest asia during desert storm.
He was on the board of directors for the west virginia military retirees association and was a graduate of stonewall jackson high school.
Paul is survived by his wife, patricia; daughter, tara cantrell of barboursville; brother, joe (sue) cantrell of st. Albans; niece and nephew, jody agosti and scott cantrell.
Funeral service will be 12 noon, thursday, august 25, 2016 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston. Burial will follow at the donel c. Kinnard memorial state veterans cemetery, dunbar. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in memory of paul to: camc cancer center, 3415 maccorkle ave se, charleston, wv 25304 and/or hospice care,1606 kanawha blvd w., charleston, wv 25387.
