Obituary

Pauline daniels maston, of charleston passed away in her sleep at 8:30 p.M. On friday, february 7, 2014, after leading the alley cats exercise class in the morning at calvary baptist church and having lunch with her friends at the tiskelwah senior center.
Pauline was born on july 23, 1922 to the late jerry and ruth mcnear daniels.
Pauline attended capital city commercial college. She was formerly employed at appalachian electric power company and retired from shoals elementary school after serving 25 years as the schools secretary.
A former membership clerk and lifetime member for the wv association of retired school employees, pauline also served as the former president and secretary of the kanawha county association of retired school employees. She was a member of the river road garden club; a reporter for shepherd center newsletter; former president of camc memorial division auxiliary;   member of the senior friends and young at heart/55+ sr. Groups; and member of eastern star, tiskelwah chapter # 45.
Pauline was a member of trinity united methodist church since 1949. She was a  member and president several times of the trinity united methodist women; member of the mary martha circle; devotional leader and trinity united methodist church representative church women united; girl scout leader;  former treasurer, sunday school  teacher and sunday school superintendent; methodist youth counselor.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, jerry and ruth mcnear daniels; her husband of 60 years,  kenneth maston, in 2008; son, michael ray maston; brother, charles r. Daniels; and sister and brother-in-law, eleanor and d.W. Ramsey.
She is survived by her daughter, karen lea maston-brier and husband, gregory; grandsons, jonathan brier and daniel brier of portage, mi; several nieces, nephews, and forever friends.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.M. Saturday, february 15, 2014 at trinity united methodist church, 2626 pennsylvania avenue, charleston, wv 25302.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to trinity united methodist women.
 private interment will take place in the spring at ward cemetery.
