Obituary
Peter allen mcdougall, 78, of charleston, passed away wednesday, march 28, 2018 at home with his devoted and loving family by his side.
Peter was born on july 6, 1939 to the late roland and alma allen mcdougall.
He was a retired accountant with the state of west virginia. Peter was a lifelong member of st. Anthony catholic church of charleston. Peter was a u.S navy veteran serving during the vietnam war. In addition, peter attended st. Anthony catholic school and graduated from charleston catholic high school and morris harvey college.
He was an avid history book reader and wonderful story teller. Peter will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, uncle and cat lover.
He is survived by his wife, deborah barker mcdougall; daughter, sarah (jonah richardson) mcdougall of charleston; sisters, kathryn (albert) kreitzer of wheeling and brenda bias of columbus, oh; brother james mcdougall of santa monica, ca. And multiple nieces and nephews. ]
mass of christian burial will be held 11:00 a.M., monday, april 9, 2018 at st. Anthony catholic church, charleston, with father biju devassy officiating. Burial will follow at the donel c. Kinnard memorial state veterans cemetery, dunbar. Wv.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in his memory to: st. Anthony catholic church, 1000 6th st, charleston, wv 25302.
