Obituary
Primo franklin (nuch) dalporto, 78, of south charleston, west virginia, formerly of smithers, passed away peacefully on october 23, 2017, after a long illness. He always loved adventure and spent many happy hours working on his pilot’s license and serving as a co-pilot to his father as they planned and took many trips together. Both cars and animals brought him joy as did spending time with his family.
Primo worked for twenty years as a manager of the rockette restaurant in smithers, a family business started by his parents. Afterwards, he worked until he retired as an owner/manager of primo furniture store, another family business.
He is preceded in death by his parents, primo and fannie dalporto. And his brother jimmy.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years linda; his four children, donna white (bobby), deborah harmon (marty), michael dalporto (lori), and lisa dalporto all of charleston; three sisters, janet thomas of sarasota, florida, patricia maxson and fran schmitt both of charleston; six grandchildren, adam and erica white, cameron harmon, nicholas, chase, and dominic dalporto; and one great-grandchild, zara.
Primo will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at barlow-bonsall funeral home at noon, friday, october 27, 2017. friends may call one hour prior to the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to kanawha hospice, 1606 kanawha blvd, west, charleston, wv 25397 or kanawha-charleston humane society, 1248 greenbrier street, charleston ,wv 25311.
