Obituary
Ralph Kenneth Johnson, 83, passed away on July 30, 2025, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia. A coal miner and skilled mechanic, Ralph was a man of few words but deep presence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Johnson, step-son Junus Cosby, as well as his parents, Willis Junior Johnson and Sadie May Thompson.
He is remembered by his son, Kenny Johnson; his grandchildren, Marcus (Lindsey) Cosby, Courtney (Ryan) Smith, and Grace Johnson; and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverside Nursing Home and the Hubbard Hospice House for their compassionate care during Ralph’s final days.

I sure will miss my friend. His smile, and the laugh. The heavens got someone that will watch over everyone as his son watch over him. Kenny words can’t express the kindness, caring and love you and your family show him. Ralph would like up and smile huge when you arrived. He sure knew he was loved.
