Obituary

Raven Nicole Gordon, 28, of Dunbar, WV, transitioned from this world to her eternal home and into the loving arms of Jesus on January 31, 2026. Also there to greet her was her brother, Corey Michael Pridemore, who she deeply grieved; her uncles, Andrew “Drew” Gordon Jr. and Shawn Pridemore; maternal grandmother, Macel Hardy Pridemore, and paternal grandparents, Barbara Moody Gordon and Nathaniel Gordon.

Raven is survived by her son and her world, Travarez “Junie” Cohen Jr.; mother, Robin Kidd, and father, Peter Gordon; brothers, Jonathan (Sommer) Pridemore, Christopher Pridemore, Nathaniel Pridemore, Jon Jon Pridemore, Tiance Bumpus-Gordon and Josiah Bumpus; sister, Annette Bumpus-Gordon; cousins, Tendra and Carla Robinson, and Kayla, Tevin and Trey Gordon; friends, Kiaunte Nowell, Emily Boggess, and Teylor Statts, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who love their “Ray Ray.”

Sweet baby girl – You are so loved and missed!!! Your absence has left such a huge void, to say the least. Your smiling face, sense of humor and quick witty comebacks. You would always say I love you and showed you meant it. You had a loving, caring soul. You were so full of life and personality, that makes it even harder to believe you’re gone. We will keep your memory alive, reminding Junie always of the love his mommy has for him. We will hold him and each other tight when those times of grief take over. We will continue to talk of you often, sometimes with laughter, sometimes with tears. We thank God for the short time we had with you.

Our family would like to thank everyone for your love and support during this very difficult time – whether it was your generous donations towards Raven’s services, a meal, a text or phone call and, most of all, your love and prayers. Please continue to pray for our family. Again, thank you so so very much for your love and support.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, with Pastor Rich Bartoli officiating. Repass will immediately follow at the funeral home.

Visitation will begin one hour prior at the funeral home.
