Obituary

Richard Bailey, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2024, at the age of 83.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Bailey, and one of his children, Ronnie Bailey. He is survived by his three children: Richard Bailey Jr., Kimberly Green, and Sarah Schoolcraft; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish the love and guidance he shared with them, and two sisters, Debbie Bailey and Karen Black.

Richard was a dedicated KRT bus driver for over 40 years, earning the respect and admiration of his coworkers and the countless passengers whose lives he touched. Known for his kind heart, unwavering work ethic, and warm smile, he left a lasting impact on the community he served so faithfully.

He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV, with Rev. J. W. Member officiating. Friends and family are welcome to join us as we honor his remarkable legacy.

Visitation will begin one hour prior at the funeral home.
