Obituary
Robert a. “alex” crawford, iii, 70, of richmond, va., formerly of charleston, w.Va., passed away january 18, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, dr. Robert alexander crawford, jr. And mrs. Dotty crawford.
He is survived by his children; mrs. Shellie carter of gainesville, va., mr. Jeffrey crawford of richmond, va. And mrs. Ashley hall of powhatan, va.; seven grandchildren, dillon, tyler, skyler, l.J., ryan, chelsea and bryton; two sisters, mrs. Carolyn c. Gandy of mooresville, n.C. And mrs. Molly c. Thompson of charleston, w.Va.; and two brothers, mr. Sam d. Crawford of athens, ga. And dr. Michael d. Crawford of rocky mount, n.C.
Alex served in the u.S. Army and worked for almost 20 years as a charter fishing guide in florida.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, monday, january 23 at barlow and bonsall funeral home, 1118 virginia st. East, charleston, w.Va.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in spring hill cemetery, charleston, wv.

I Was So Sorry To Learn Of The Passing Of Alex. We Graduated From Chs Class Of 1964 And Were Also Friends. Alex Was Such A Cutie In High School And Full Of Personality. He Was Such A Nice Guy And Will Be Missed By All Who Knew Him. My Condolences To His Family.
