Obituary

Ronald Vincent Bostic, 69, of Charleston, WV, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at home after a long illness.

Ronald was a painter and remodeled houses for many years. He loved watching NASCAR, riding his gas-powered bicycle and going to the family farm with his family and friends. Ronald also loved working with wood and his hands, making many different gifts for his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Iris “Toots” Bostic; sister, Diana (Bostic) Layton; brother, Gary Bostic; nieces, Anita (Layton) Coon and Tina (Bostic) Cheadle, and nephews, Chad Bostic and Michael “Jody” Bostic.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Bostic) Hanshaw (husband, Chris); son, Ronnie Allen Bostic (wife, Jackie); brother, Robert “Bobby” Bostic Jr. (late wife, Debbie); wife, Shelia Roberts; grandchildren, Arianna Hanshaw, CJ Hanshaw, Vincent Bostic and Brayden Bostic; the mother of his children, Julie (Mullens, Bostic) Lawson; nieces and nephews; countless friends, and his feline buddies, PJ and Jack.

Per his wishes, Ronald will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Belle Church of the Nazarene, 306 E. 9^th Street, Belle, WV, with Pastor David Clark officiating. Memorial dinner will immediately follow.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at the church.
