Obituary
Ronnie Manning, aka “Baby Jesus,” 68, of Charleston, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born on September 20, 1955, in Springfield, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte Manning and William Clarence Manning Jr.
Ronnie was known for his effervescent smile. He would always greet you by saying, “Hey—Hey, I’m Baby Jesus!!” He came to Charleston at a young age. Ronnie never met a stranger and was loved by all the children who saw him as an angel and nicknamed him “Baby Jesus.” He served his country as a United States Marine in 1976 and was honorably discharged.
Baby Jesus leaves to cherish his loving memory friends and surrogate family: his best friends, Elder Philip E. Weldon, Brother Gregory C. Edwards, Rev. James C. Jackson,Sr., Brother Samuel L. Singleton, Brother Bobby Howard, Brother Mack Reed and Brother Bernard Ford. His friends showed him love, support and comfort during his life while living here in Charleston.
Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at A More Excellent Way Life Center Church, 504 Virginia Street West, Charleston, West Virginia, with Bishop Doctor Robert L. Haley III officiating. Processional will leave the church at 1:15 p.m. Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. sharp at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, West Virginia.

Oh my. so very glad you where not lost (We your Fair Vista family) just dod not know where to find you.
You were missed and the topic of many conversations among your loved ones in the neighborhood. So glad that you were loved. Rest Easy Ronnie, with the rest of the neighborhood crew. It probably more Angels with you from the hood resting with OUR FATHER then on the block
