Obituary

Rosa allessio walker, 87, born sept. 25, 1927  to the late antonio and maria mazzei allessio in eskdale (cabin creek), went to heaven to be an angel in god’s garden on tuesday, sept. 11, 2014.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her siblings, sammy, mary, john and catherine.

Surviving are her daughters, fawn maria deskins (fiance, brian balazs) and julia ann (duke) linzy; grandchildren, duke linzy, amanda, rosa and jimmy deskins and lauren shaffer; great-grandchildren, javon, braylan, kiara, emma and cameron; special niece, mary (mark) koehler of ohio; and nephew, john (laura) allessio of virginia.

Rosa worked at her family’s grocery store, tony allessio’s supermarket in eskdale. Later she moved to the east end of charleston and continued working for her family at johnny’s meat market. She worked  numerous other jobs until she retired. She did whatever it took to take care of her two beautiful daughters and family. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends, for rosa was an earthly angel and is now a heavenly angel.

Mass of christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.M. Saturday, nov. 15, at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston, with monsignor p. Edward sadie of the basilica of the co-cathedral of the sacred heart officiating. Burial will follow at sunset memorial park, south charleston.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at golden living, glasgow, who loved her very much. Special thanks to her niece, mary, the staff at hubbard hospice house, charleston, and monsignor sadie.

I Did Not Know Ms. Walker But I Know How Hard It Can Be To Lose A Loved One In Death So I Wanted To Say I Am Very Sorry For Your Loss. The Scripture That Has Given Me Comfort At Times Like This Is The One Found At Revelation 21:4 That Says, “And He Will Wipe Out Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Will Be No More, Neither Will Mourning Nor Outcry Nor Pain Be Anymore. The Former Things Have Passed Away.” So God Has Promised That In The Very Near Future We Will Never Have To Experience The Pain Associated With Death Anymore. I Pray That This Gives The Family Some Comfort During This Difficult Time.
