Obituary

Roscoe shaffer 87, of st. Marys, wv went home to be with the lord on august 24, 2017 from a massive stroke.

He was a retiree from the city of charleston. He loved spending time with family and friends and he loved his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, clell and katie hunt and his wife, nina may shaffer.

Roscoe is survived by wife, opal pauline higginbotham; sons, john shaffer sr. Of elkview, frankie and wife, mary shaffer of st. Marys; step-daughte,r brenda bonham of belle; brother, john hunt of st. Albans; sisters, bonnie anderson and myrtle brown both of elkview, six grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.M., monday august 28, 2017 at barlow bonsall funeral home with rev. Wayne stewart officiating. Burial will follow in shaffer family cemetery, in frame.

The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
