Obituary

Ruth claire grimm rohr, 88 years old, of charleston, wv, passed away on june 28, 2016 in bedford texas.
 
ruth rohr was born in charleston, wv to russell and gail grimm on march 3, 1928. She graduated from stonewall jackson high school. She then attended morris harvey college graduating in 1950 with a degree in social services. She was a member of phi lambda tau sorority.
 
she married joseph paul rohr on june 27, 1950 at randolph street baptist church.                                                  ruth and paul resided on hampton road in louden heights for over 60 yrs. After paul’s passing, ruth moved to bedford texas in october 2015 to live with her daughter, kelley and son in law, marc oler.
She worked at blue cross and blue shield insurance company and then assisted in her husband’s dental office. She was a member of canaan united methodist church, formally humphrey’s memorial united methodist church. She was a member of united methodist women and was very active in numerous church activities.
 
ruth is preceded in death by husband, joseph paul rohr, her parents russell and gail grimm, her brother, clyde grimm and nephew, keith grimm 
 
ruth is survived by her  children, gail r. Bradam of  s. Charleston, wv, joan r. Swengel (mathew) of morgantown wv, jay paul rohr (jan) of charleston, wv and kelley r. Oler (marc) of bedford, texas;
grandchildren, joseph afton bradam of madison, wv, dr. Justin clark swengel of knoxville tn.,  christian, mitchell, and claire rohr of charleston wv; and great granddaughter, hailey jo bradam of madison wv.
 
funeral service will be 11a.M, friday, july 8, 2016 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston with the pastor matt friend of bible center church officiating.   burial will follow at sunset memorial park in south charleston, wv.  visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, thursday, july 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
