Her legacy is one of service, touching the lives of countless individuals who were fortunate enough to have been cared for, taught, or simply known by her.

Hodges, and Hospice Care for their compassionate support and care throughout Ruth’s recent illness and over the years. Their dedication provided comfort and peace not only to Ruth but also to her family during these challenging times.

  1. Hello Greg. My heart aches for you. I can remember like yesterday coming over to the house as we practiced our songs for the gong show and talent show many moons ago. Your mom was so inviting and always kind. I will never forget her.

When I would ride my bike I would always see her in the front yard doting over her flowers. I know she will be missed.

When things settle lets get together over a meal. I know we talked about it earlier this year. Take care my friend and hang in there. I have officiated some 50 funerals and have always found these two passages to be of great comfort.

(2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.”

(Isaiah 57:15) “. . .For this is what the High and Lofty One says, Who lives forever and whose name is holy: “I reside in the high and holy place, But also with those crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of those being crushed.”

    Love you my friend

  2. Greg, Jackie and Family —

Our sincere condolences on Aunt Ruth’s passing. When Doug and I were small, Uncle Jim used to take care of the two of us on occasion. We were all great pals so when Aunt Ruth came on the scene, Doug and I kind of felt she was the new kid on the block. But Aunt Ruth’s warm-hearted graciousness and easy laughter soon won us over. My everlasting memory of their wedding is throwing rice as they exited the church, both of them grinning from ear to ear. They’re together again at last and just as happy this time around too. Peace be with you.
