Obituary

Shelly LouAnne Chittim, 55, of Charleston, WV, received her golden wings on December 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

She is the daughter of Judy Parsons of Dunbar, WV, and the late Donald Snyder. Shelly was raised in Jackson County and graduated from Ripley High School. Following graduation, she joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1988 to 1996.

In addition to her mother, Shelly is survived by her daughter, Kirstyn Rimes (Jack); two granddaughters, Skarlette and Natalie Rimes; sisters, Kim Thorsteinson (Eric), Juanita Osman (Chris) and Teresa Shelnut, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

Per Shelly’s wishes, she was cremated.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Lavish Lounge, 4827 MacCorkle Avenue, South Charleston, WV 25309.
