Obituary

Steven Michael Newhouse, 32, of Sissonville, WV, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly.

Steven was born in Charleston, WV, the son of Marylou Toole and David Newhouse.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James E. Gibson and Kenny R. Newhouse, Sr., and grandmother, Carolyn A Miller (husband) Jarell.

Survivors include Stevens two beautiful children, Ali Brooke Newhouse (10) and Ryder James Newhouse (3); Fiancée of 11 years, Amanda L Sigmon; mother and stepfather, Marylou and Jesse Toole,; father and stepmother, David and Tammy Newhouse; grandmother, Virgina L Gibson and Lorene Newhouse; brother, Shane D. Newhouse; sister, CaSandra Keatley (Cody); stepbrother, Jeffrey R. Carbaugh and Skyler J. Middleton; stepsisters, Jamie R. Cantu, Kimberly S. Yoder, and Amanda L, Elliot, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Steven was a member of Labor Union 1353 of Charleston, WV, and A Professional Concrete Finisher. Steven’s passion was dirt bikes and working with concrete and operating heavy equipment. His love for dirt bikes began at an early age. Steven started receiving trophies in HeadStart. He shared his passion with his Papaw James, whom was his biggest fan. His passion was passed down to his children who love to ride. Steven was a hard worker and loved his family unconditionally. He is loved by people from all over the spectrums of life. He was known for his kind and loving heart. Steven brought immeasurable joy and light into all our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile and boundless curiosity. The depth of our love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts. Steven was a friend to many of the community and the Motorcross / Hill climbing community across the Unted States. He enjoyed musky fishing, hunting and lived life to the fullest. Steven was a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness and has left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.

We invite all who cherished Steven to join us for graveside services, where we will share stories, laughter and tears, at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Sissonville Memorial Gardens, on the top of Grapevine Hill.

  3. Steven was a very nice young man and was a friend of mine and my late son’s too. Steven would often share his memories of Larry with me when i would run into him throughout the years. He always had a smile on his face and he loved to ride motorcycles just like my son. RIP Steven. Gone way to soon and prayers to the family at this time.

    Steven newhouse was a special kind of person it didn’t matter what kind of day u was having u would always walk away with a smile on your face and all your problems would go away for a little while. Steven was a brother to me he has been in my life for a long time me and his sister cassy would always go outside and play in the mud and just have a good ol time. he was a wonderful person to be around he loved his family my heart aches for his family but he will always still be here watching over his family and friends gonna miss u stevie gone but not forgotten.
