Obituary
On November 30, 2025, Susan Rae Eisinger (Sessions), loving wife and mother of two, passed away at the age of 78 after a long journey with Alzheimer’s disease.
Sue was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 1, 1947, to Cecil and Geneva Sessions. She graduated from Albion College in 1969 and started teaching elementary school before she changed careers and worked at Beaumont Hospital. In 1977, Sue married Ronald Eisinger. They moved to Charleston, West Virginia, in 1981.
Sue dedicated her life to the care and service of others. She helped to integrate her sorority at Albion College, making national news for defying the national sorority’s rules. Sue was a 40-year member of Temple Israel in Charleston, volunteering and serving the congregation as president of the Sisterhood, as well as through the Kanawha Valley Interfaith Council. She loved family above all else. Sue was devoted to her children, attending all their activities and sporting events. She loved doing puzzles, playing cards, fishing, and gardening, and especially enjoyed time at her family cottage in Michigan. Sue was well known for sending cousins, children, nieces, and nephews individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies in shoe boxes.
Sue is survived by her husband (Ron), her sister, Alice Lonoff (Marc), her sons Nathan (Vonya) and Jacob (Claire), and three grandchildren (Geneva, Vienna, and Lucas).
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Temple Israel in Charleston, with a graveside service immediately afterward.
Flowers may be sent to Temple Israel, 2312 Kanawha Blvd. East, Charleston, WV.
Donations in Sue’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.barlowbonsall.com.
